After a severe weather event, a brief visual inspection is good practice. Check for debris accumulation around the enclosure or in the ventilation louvers, verify that no tree branches or objects have impacted the unit, confirm the enclosure panels are secure and undamaged, and check the control panel for any active fault codes. If the generator ran during the storm and is now back on utility power, it will have returned to standby mode automatically. No additional action is needed unless you observe damage or an active error code.
