The KOHLER RCA 14,000-Watt Dual Fuel Home Standby Generator is engineered to provide consistent and reliable backup power for residential applications. Capable of operating on either liquid propane or natural gas, this standby generator offers fuel flexibility while delivering automatic power restoration during utility outages.
This model includes Kohler’s Quiet Tech™ sound-dampening technology (denoted by the QS6 suffix), reducing operating noise compared to standard units. The compact and durable design makes it suitable for homes with moderate electrical demands — powering essentials such as HVAC systems, appliances, lighting, and other critical circuits.
To provide automatic transfer from utility power to generator power, the RCA requires a compatible 100-amp automatic transfer switch (sold separately unless otherwise specified). When paired with the appropriate transfer switch, the system automatically starts and transfers power upon detecting a utility outage and switches back when utility service returns.
